Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with L R Beauty the client engages in “Service” and agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Once you have engaged with L R Beauty it is assumed you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are non-negotiable. Prices and terms are subject to change at any time without notice. L R Beauty reserves the right to terminate your booking for any non-compliance of terms without resolution of dispute. All pricing is in NZD and GST is included.

  • For bookings prior to 30 days in advance:
    A 50% non refundable booking fee (deposit) payment is required to secure your booking and chosen date, which is deducted from your total invoice.
    A booking is only confirmed once the booking fee is received into L R Beauty’s nominated New Zealand Bank Account.
    The remaining balance payment must be paid on the due date on your invoice (30 days prior to the booking). 

    For bookings within 30 days of appointment:
    The full balance of the invoice is due on booking as a non refundable booking fee (deposit) payment to confirm and secure the booking.
    This fee is not transferable to alternative dates.
    A booking is only confirmed once the full balance is received into Lauren Rainsford’s nominated New Zealand Bank Account.

    Payments are non refundable or transferable at any time and bookings are not able to be postponed. Exceptions to this are noted below in the Force Maejure Clause.

  • Requests to increase total numbers will all be accommodated where possible, but will be subject to availability.

    Deductions to the invoice are unfortunately not permitted. Any services no longer required must still be paid for, as per the cancellation policy.

  • Services will be completed to client’s satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted service time. Ample time is given for each service upon booking. Acceptance of completed services by client is acknowledgement by client that the service is done to their satisfaction.

  • Certain requirements are needed when Lauren comes to you, so that she can perform the services to her highest standard.

    A dining size table or clean kitchen counter must be made available for Lauren to set up at.
    Ample natural light is necessary for services to be performed properly.
    A power socket must be available close to the work area.

    Close parking must be provided. If there is no available parking at the location, the client must inform Lauren well in advance so that other arrangements can be made.
    If parking is not free, the cost of parking must be paid for by the client.

  • Travel Fee
    The Travel fee is charged from Lauren’s home in St Johns, Auckland. Parking and road tolls must be paid for by the client.

    Late Fee
    Timing is critical and must be strictly adhered to.
    A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled makeup application exceeds the allotted time due to client delays.
    If the client has not arrived, delays start time or is not ready to begin the service within 15 minutes after their designated appointment time, the booking may be deemed cancelled and the booking payment will be null and void entirely.
    L R Beauty will make the final call on whether a booking will still go ahead if the client is late or delays start time.

  • Due to the nature of Lauren’s business structure, being that once your booking is confirmed, all other work / inquiries for that date are turned away, L R Beauty does not postpone bookings.
    If you wish to change your booking to a different date, it will be considered as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking must be made.
    Exceptions to this are noted below in the Force Maejure Clause.

  • Should you wish to to cancel your booking, you agree to forfeit your non-refundable booking fee, plus pay any cancellation fees, as noted below.
    All cancellations must be made in writing via email to lrbeauty.nz@gmail.com 


    Cancellations within 30 days
    Cancellations within 30 days of the date the booking falls on will require full payment.
    Upon notice of cancellation, a final invoice will be emailed to the client. Full payment must be received within 5 days of the invoice date.
    L R Beauty reserves the right to take any legal action at any time for non payment.

    Cancellation by Artist
    In the unlikely event that Lauren needs to withdraw from a booking, she reserves the right to do so at any time if she is unable to perform her duties for any reason, without explanation. Lauren will then endeavour to find a suitable replacement, and refund the client (minus services already performed - e.g Bridal Trial). The client agrees that 100% of monies paid refunded is the only liability to L R Beauty. Refunds will be made in full within 30 days. L R Beauty will not be liable for any nonperformance due to unforeseen circumstances. 

  • In no event will L R Beauty be liable to the client for any consequential, indirect, direct, exemplary, punitive, or special damanges.

    Hygiene and Health Liability:
    All brushes, tools, and products are sanitised between every service. Products used are professional quality, dermatology and ophthalmology tested. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client prior to services and, if need be, a sample test of products may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release L R Beauty from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

    You are legally obliged to disclose to L R Beauty if you are sick, ill or contagious in any way at the time of your service, or if at anytime you have come into contact or been exposed to anyone who is/was/may be/might have been sick, ill or contagious in any way. L R Beauty reserves the right to make any final decision on whether a client is unsafe to perform a service on. If the client discloses they are unwell at reasonable amount of time prior to the service, a credit will be offered. If the client has not made an effort to inform L R Beauty minimum of 4 hours prior to the service start time, L R Beauty is not obliged to offer any credit. The only acceptable form of contact for this is email, call or text. Social media messages are not accepted form of contact.

    Indemnity
    The client agrees to indemnify and hold L R Beauty harmless against any and all claims, loss, damage, liability cost, or expense arising out of the client’s breach of term and conditions.

  • A Force Majeure Event can be defined as but is not limited to epidemics/pandemics, acts of god, and government restrictions. If a Force Majeure Event prevents L R Beauty from providing services on the event date, L R Beauty shall, without limiting their other rights, provide a credit of any payments made (less services already performed) to be used on an alternative date within a 12 month period of initial event date. Standard terms and conditions apply once an alternative date is confirmed. New date is subject to availability.

  • Unless prior discussed and approved, L R Beauty may use on it’s website and/or in any brochure, flyer, or other advertising it deems necessary - any and all photographs, video, audio and any other digitally or chemically stored media that is captured or recorded by L R Beauty. The client agrees to release any and all claims regarding use of their image for such purposes, and also agrees to release name and contact information of professional photographers/videographers photographs and recordings.

    L R Beauty is authorised to use media from the photographer/videographer on any promotional materials L R Beauty deems necessary.
